Ylläs

Ylläs is a beautiful composition of seven tunturis, the highest over 700 m from sea-level. So the slopes have altitude difffernces of more than 400 m. Ylläs offers activities for every visitor, lots of downhill slopes, a multitude of program services and a vast system of cross-country trails, which is connected to the one at Levi.

Ylläs is actually two villages: Äkkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi. Skibuses take you from your hotel or cottage and bring you straight to the lifts and trails. Every morning you can take the bus to Levi and ski back to Ylläs. Or, in the spring, you ski the 40+ km to Levi and come back by bus, when the sun has softened the trails.
